BA (Hons), PGCE, PGDip, MA, MBPs - Writer and Researcher
A former Lecturer in Health and Social Care, Lisa is psychology graduate. Realising the close link between what we eat and how we feel and behave, Lisa undertook additional study, a Post-Grad Certificate in Biochemistry and an MSc in Human Nutrition. Most recently adding a certificate in Integrative Nutrition to the mix as well.
Swapping humans for pets, Lisa retrained as a pet groomer, setting up her own business along with a cattery. Whilst the cattery functions as a business, Lisa allocates rooms for local rescues during off-peak months to rehabilitate cats ready to find new homes. The majority of these cats suffer with digestive issues, so Lisa’s nutrition experience comes in particularly handy.
Lisa consults on and develops canine and feline nutrition education in the industry and has a regular feature with Edition Dog and the former Edition Cat Magazine. She has also been featured in the Gundog Journal. Alongside this, Lisa keeps a hand in the human arena, having a regular feature in On the Couch Magazine and as a Science Writer for the Centre of Nutritional Psychology in the US.
