Harriet Kitcat

Dip Vet Physiotherapy, Dip Canine Massage – Vet Physiotherapist

In a previous life, over 20 years in IT marketing until Golden Retriever Jenson changed everything for Harriet.  When Harriet saw the positive impact complementary therapies had on Jenson’s various musculoskeletal issues, she had a total career change!  Firstly training in massage, with vet physiotherapy shortly following.  When Baxter, the rescue Golden Retriever came into her life, Harriet was further inspired to continue her training, now currently Canine Nutrition in Diploma to help dogs feel and move better …. even more.

Harriet is passionate about empowering owners with knowledge to help them make decisions for their dogs, and working as a team.  Treating the dog as individual and not the diagnosis, taking a holistic approach with other dog professionals involved or  referring on as necessary.  As well as doing in person and online consultations,  Harriet enjoys creating content for owners to be able to learn in the form of podcasts, webinars, in person workshops and ebooks.

Harriet’s research project on how Physiotherapy Helps dogs with Osteoarthritis has featured in Animal Therapy Magazine, Complementary and Alternative Medicine Magazine, Westies & Besties Magazine as well as being used as part of the training material for other therapists.
